What To Pack For Disneyland ~ The HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH!

Packing for Disneyland is actually really fun, because it gets me so excited for my trip to Disneyland.  I put together a video of everything I pack for a vacation to Disneyland.

I hope this helps give some ideas of what to pack and what you'll need for your trip.  Below is the video.  You can watch it here on my blog or on YouTube.  Comment below on my blog what items you pack that you think other people don't think to pack for a trip to Disneyland.  If you watch it on YouTube then you can comment on YouTube.  Thanks for watching my video!

How The Morning Lines Work At Disneyland

The morning lines at Disneyland can get confusing to people who have never been to Disneyland or who haven't been in a long time.

When you come from the side of the near by hotels or where the shuttles drop you off there will be a few different lines.  It doensn't matter what line you go in.  People think they have to go in a certain line for Disneyland or for California Adventures, but you don't have to.  The first group of lines you go in is just for the security check line.  So pick a line that looks short.  Look at some of the lines that are grouped in the middle, because sometimes those go faster only if they end up going into two separate lines later on.

After the security check then you pick the line for Disneyland or California Adventures.  Those lines are easy to tell them apart, because the entrances are on opposite sides.

The security check is just for your bags.  When it's super busy they will have a line for people who don't have a bag to get in faster.

Make sure you take your purse off your body and open all of the zippers.  This will make the line go faster.

Also when you are looking for a shorter line pay attention to the line and how many bags are in the line.  If a family is grouped together and just the mother has a bag and maybe one child has a backpack ~ they will go through the line faster because only two people out of that family need a bag checked.   So the fewer the bags in a line, the faster it will go.

My daughter and I always go during the school year for our trips to Disneyland, but this year one of our trips was in the summer.  One morning it was backed up all the way to the street. We were shocked that it was that bad.  So sometimes it can get crazy and take a long time until you can actually get into the park.

Map Of Disneyland's Close By Stores And Restaurant

If you stay at a hotel close to Disneyland you can get this map at the front desk.  They usually have it on display, but if they don't ~ ask.

It's a map of all the restaurants and near by grocery stores.  Hopefully you can see good enough with these pictures to get an idea of what's near Disneyland.

Cheapest Transportation To Disneyland From The Airport When Traveling With Children ~ Disneyland Express

Cheapest Transportation To Disneyland From The Airport When Traveling With Children ~ Disneyland Express

The Disneyland Express is the cheapest way to travel from the airport to your hotel when you are traveling with children.  You pay for the adult tickets, but the child tickets are free!  My daughter and I usually travel with Disneyland Express because I pay for my ticket and her ticket is free.

If you are traveling with adults this is still a great way to get transportation to the hotel, but if you want the cheapest one it would be a shuttle.  A shuttle like Super Shuttle or Mickey's Space Ship Shuttle.  The adult tickets are cheaper.  Plus you will have less stops on your way to your hotel.

The Disneyland Express usually stops at the Grand Californian Hotel first, then Disneyland Hotel, Paradise Pier, and then the other close hotels.  They only stop at the bus stops that the guests on the bus need.

At John Wayne Airport you will see the Disneyland Express booth.  You can buy tickets online, from your Disney Travel Agent, or at their booth at the airport.  They offer one way or round trip ~ from airport to hotel and hotel to airport.

They go to the close hotels but not all of the hotels.  If they don't go to your hotel, Super Shuttle and Mickey's Space Ship Shuttle will.

The buses have a footrest.  I love this!  For some reason I never noticed until my sister told me.

They have little hooks on the seats for bags and purses.  There is also plenty of room on the floor for bags.  They have a big compartment under the bus for all suitcases.  The driver will put it there and at your hotel they will grab it for you.

They have cute little t.v.'s but only one of the many times on the bus ~ they played a movie.

My Favorite Disneyland App

Out of all of my Disneyland apps ~ this one is my favorite!  The Magic Guide for Disneyland.    I love it because it has the hours of the park with the magic hour included, the wait times, a map with the wait times, and my favorite part ~ the menus to all of the dining in Disneyland.  When my daughter and I want to go eat lunch we'll look on this app and find where we feel like eating.  It's perfect!

Here is the second page to the menus.  You can see the restaurants in the park.  You have a choice on the first page to click on the park you are going to eat at or hotel.  I like how they have the price range for that restaurant.  If you see one $ it's pretty cheap.  Two $$ it's a little more money, etc.

This is how the menu is set up.  Description and price is on the page.  It's great how they have everything on it!

I just really love this app!  I use it the most out of all my Disneyland apps I have on my phone.  I recommend it!

I hope it's still available.  I downloaded this app a couple of years ago.

Disneyland's Photographers

Disneyland's Photographers

Disneyland's photographers are so great and I love how they are all over the park to take a pictures of you and your family!  They will scan a photo pass for you so you can buy the print later.

I always have seen them take pictures at character meet n' greets, the character dinings, in front of the castle, by the Walt Disney and Mickey statue, and by the entrance to Disneyland.  I didn't know until my last trip that they will take pictures anywhere in the park.  You can request anything!  I saw this guy and his kid getting their picture taken by the Nemo ride.  They requested the photographer to take pictures there.  Which is so cool!

Just to explain the photo... My daughter and I were in line for the Matterhorn ride and I saw this.  I wasn't trying to be creepy and follow them.  I just saw them while we waited in line and I thought that was so fun that the Disneyland's photographers took requests!

I also saw a group of girls getting a bunch of different pictures taken on the Mark Twain river boat from a Disneyland photographer.

So they will take fun requests like that!  I think that's awesome!  Another reason why Disneyland is amazing!

DIY Disneyland Countdowns

DIY Disneyland Countdowns

Making a Days Until Disneyland countdown is super easy!  Just print out one from online or make your own.  I have some printouts on another blog post if you want to use them.  Or just search online for a Disneyland countdown.

All you need is a dry erase marker, Disney stickers if you want it decorated, and a photo frame.  I bought the one above at Hobby Lobby and the one below at Smith's Marketplace.

My daughter had fun picking out the Disney stickers for this one!

For the countdown just write with the dry erase marker the number until your vacation on the Mickey shape.

You can Click Here to see my blog post with the Days Until Disneyland! printouts I used for my countdowns.

Cheapest Disneyland Souvenirs Under $10

Cheapest Disneyland Souvenirs Under $10

The cheapest souvenir to get at Disneyland is the pressed coins and if you want to start a collection you can purchase the pressed coin collection book.  The book is around $8/$9.  Disneyland has pressed coin machines all over the park.  We get excited when we see one!

Disneyland has really cute magnets they sell and they are about $6.  I collect these!

The fun Disneyland balloon is $9.  My daughter loves buying the balloons!

The Disney charms are about $6 each.  You can purchase the necklace or bracelet at Disneyland, but if you need to save money buy one before the trip.

In California Adventures they have the Games of the Boardwalk games that are $2.50 each.  If you play the Goofy About Fishin' game you will at least win a small prize.

They sell the Disney Tsum Tsums in a bunch of stores at Disneyland that are around $5/$6 each.

The Disneyland keychains are about $6/$7.  (Sorry the picture is blurry... I'm too lazy to take another one) ;)

At the Star Wars store right by Star Tours ride they sell fun little Lightsaber keychains for around $5 each.

Disney's trading pins are different prices, but most are under $10.  This box in the picture came with two pins for $14.

Disney pins are a really fun collection to start!

In the store right by the Pirates of the Caribbean ride they sell fun pirate jewels.  You grab a bag and fill it with the jewels for $6.95.  It was fun for my daughter to pick out the ones she wanted!

This is just a bunch of souvenirs that my daughter and I have purchased at Disneyland for under $10.  I know there a ton more.  I love souvenirs from Disneyland!

Great Disneyland App

Great Disneyland App

I really like the app called Disneyland.  It's my favorite for having my annual passport info in the app so I can have them scan it off of my phone as I enter into the park.

On this page you can view the map of Disneyland plus seeing the wait times of the rides.  When you click on the blue and white Mickey shape at the bottom of the page it will pull up the page below.

On this page you can click on your tickets for the park tickets or tickets for events like Mickey's Halloween Party.  You can also make your dining reservations.  Then it will be displayed on the page.

They have the wait times for the rides under attractions.  I always look up wait times before I head to our next ride.

Downloading a Disneyland before your trip is a great idea!  It is so useful!
