Everything You Need To Know About Disneyland! More Than 100+ Tips And Info!

Everything You Need To Know About Disneyland! More Than 100+ Tips And Info!

This blog post is just everything I could think of about Disneyland that will hopefully help out those who have been only a couple of times or that have never been before.  My daughter and I love Disneyland and we love our vacations to Disneyland so much!  We learn new things every trip.  So here are a ton of tips for those reading this blog post.  Enjoy!

Every day at Disneyland around 3:00 my daughter and I leave and head to our hotel for a break.  We rest so we can last the rest of the day at Disneyland.  You do so much walking and you're busy all day.  That little break we take helps out so much.  If you have little kids I recommend taking breaks so you won't have upset kids by the end of the day.

The first entrance to Disneyland is the bag check.  They are just making Disneyland a safe place.  Take your purse or bag off your body and unzip, then place it on the table for the security workers to look inside.

Don't bring a selfie stick to Disneyland.  They are not allowed.  You can't get it past bag check.  If you are wondering why... think about all the people at Disneyland and then think about how annoying it would be to try to walk by people as they have their selfie stick out.

In the morning when you are at the first entrance to Disneyland ~ there will be a bunch of lines.  It doesn't matter what line you are in.  It's just to get you past bag check.

Once you are past bag check you will pick what side to enter in... Disneyland entrance or California Adventures entrance.

In that part of the section ~ the Disneyland and California Adventures entrances are where you can purchase park tickets and annual passes.  You can also buy those online at the Disneyland website or from your Disney travel agent.

The bag check line and the line into Disneyland are sometimes really long.  If you need to be somewhere at a certain time ~ leave early so you won't be late.

If you purchase a 3-day pass and then decided while at Disneyland you want to upgrade to a 4-day pass or maybe even an annual pass ~ you can go to the ticket office that is there between the two park entrances and upgrade there.

Magic Morning comes with your 3+ day pass to Disneyland.  Magic Morning is where you get to go in an extra hour to the park.  It changes every day.  It switches off between California Adventures and Disneyland.  They will have signs for which day is what park.

If you have a breakfast reservation that is earlier than the time the park opens but when the Magic Morning time is ~ it won't count towards your Magic Morning.

The bag check lines are always opened.  So if you are staying at a hotel by Disneyland and want to go over to Downtown Disney ~ you can at any time of the day.

There are photographers all over the park that can take your picture and then scan it to a Photo Pass card.  You can look up your pictures on the website and purchase the ones you like.  You can also purchase pictures at Disneyland on Main Street ~ they have a place there.

If it's your first time to Disneyland, your birthday, your anniversary, or anything else fun that you are celebrating ~ you can go to the City Hall building on Main Street to get a button.

On hot days make sure you drink a lot of water.  I once saw a girl almost faint from heat exhaustion.  You can buy water bottles, there are drinking fountains all over, and whenever you buy food you can ask for a cup of water for free

If you get a 1-day pass to Disneyland and if you leave the park make sure you get a hand stamp as you leave so you can enter back in.  The exit you need will read Exit & Hand Stamp.  If you have a two-day pass or more you don't need a hand stamp.  You can leave the park and enter back with your pass.

So if you have a pass to Disneyland ~ you can leave the park and come back with your pass.  Some people don't know that.  I just wanted to include that.

Adults can order off the kid's menu.  The kid's menu is cheaper for those who are on a budget or want smaller portions.

You can share a lot of meals.  Like the Monte Cristo sandwich (the picture above) at Cafe Orleans is huge and I can't finish it by myself.  When my sister and her family came to Disneyland they shared a lot of the meals to save on money plus you just get a lot of food at Disneyland.

You can bring your food into Disneyland and there are a lot of places and benches you can go to eat your food or you can go to your hotel to eat.

The only place at Disneyland that you can get drink refills is at the sit-down restaurants.

You can leave the park and eat at restaurants by Disneyland or restaurants in Downtown Disney.  If you need to save money there are a lot of places to eat there.  Downtown Disney has a few nice restaurants with cheaper places right next to them.  Lots of options!

Steakhouse 55 at the Disneyland Hotel has a 24 Layer Chocolate Cake!  It's so good!  Blue Bayou has one almost like it that's an 8 Layer Chocolate Cake!  If you love cake you need to try this one!

There are five character dinings at Disneyland ~ Grand Californian Hotel Storytellers Cafe, Paradise Pier's Disney PCH Grill, Disneyland Hotel Goofy's Kitchen, Plaza Inn Minnie and Friends, and Ariel's Grotto Princess Dining.

At the character dining the photographer takes pictures as you come and meet the main character.  Then they come around with it in a cute picture frame and offer it to you to purchase.  If you don't want to purchase if you don't have to and to save them time ~ just tell them you don't want to purchase it before they take the picture.  It's fun buying it for the memories, but you don't have to.  I love buying them!

Character dinings are the best way to meet the Disneyland characters without waiting in line.  The characters at the dinings will come around to each table for a meet n' greet.

If you want to meet the Disney princesses go to the princess character dining at Ariel's Grotto.  That one is one of my favorites!  You get amazing food (we go for dinner) and see Ariel and four of the Disney princesses.

There are a few transportations from the airport to your hotel at Disneyland that I recommend.  Disneyland Resort Express, Mickey's Space Ship Shuttle, and Super Shuttle.

If you are driving to Disneyland or rent a car ~ keep in mind the parking prices.  If you rent a car the same thing... the parking prices.  The hotels charge a fee for parking.  I think one of the hotels I stayed at was $9 a day for hotel guests.  Then Disneyland parking costs money too.

Wear sunscreen no matter what.  That's always important at Disneyland.

We always have up our Disneyland countdown before our trips!  It's just a frame with a countdown in it, so we can write on it with a dry erase marker.

A portable phone charger is something great to have at Disneyland.  You can buy them for about $10 on Amazon.com.  I have one but never use it.  I always take a break in the middle of the day at my hotel so I charge my phone then.

Not every restaurant serves breakfast in Disneyland ~ only a few.  The restaurants that serve breakfast are Rancho del Zocalo in Frontierland, Carnation Cafe on Main Street (you need a reservation if you want to eat when you get there or you have to wait a long time), Galactic Grill in Tomorrowland, and Plaza Inn for the character dining on Main Street.

The most popular restaurant at Disneyland is the Blue Bayou.  Super fancy and amazing food!  It's one of my favorites!

In New Orleans Square there is a door that has the number 33 on it.  That's Disneyland Club 33 member only, secret club.  It's my dream to join that club... one day!

Restaurants that recommend reservations are Plaza Inn, Carnation Cafe, Cafe Orleans, Blue Bayou, Storytellers Cafe, Disney's PCH Grill, Goofy's Kitchen, Ariel's Grotto, Steakhouse 55, Carthay Circle, Catal Restaurant, and Wine Country Trattoria.

To make a dining reservation you can call the Disneyland number or just go to the Disneyland website, create an account, and book your reservations.  They will email you the confirmation.  Restaurants do get booked up so if you don't have a reservation at a popular restaurant like Cafe Orleans ~ you'll have to wait 30 minutes or more.  Sometimes they get so booked they only take reservations   It's easier to have the reservation.

Pressed coins are always a great and cheap souvenir to start collecting.  My daughter saves up quarters, pennies, a couple of dimes, and a couple nickels for our Disneyland vacations.  There are a ton of pressed pennies, some pressed quarters, a few pressed dimes, and a few pressed nickels.  You can ask a cast member for a pressed coin map if you want to start collecting and buy the Disneyland pressed coin book.  It's fun!

Great kid souvenirs are the Disney stuffed toys.  My daughter collects them and loves them!  They cost from $12 up to $27.  If you get a set like Chip and Dale or Minnie and Mickey wedding set they cost about $27.  They have so many cute toys there!

Bring your snacks if you want.  I always buy my snacks at Disneyland because I go for the food!  It does add up with the money, so if you need to stick to a budget I recommend bringing some snacks.

Disneyland churros are the best!  You may have tried churros at other places and think Disneyland's are the same.  They are not.  Disneyland's churros are so good and taste so fresh!  You need to try them!

Rainy days seem like they won't be fun at Disneyland, but when I went on rainy days on my vacations ~ it was awesome!  Fewer people!

Weekends are busier at Disneyland but still fun.  All of my vacations there have some weekdays and the weekend.  It's still so much fun because I'm always happy to be at Disneyland!

Halloween Time at Disneyland is the most fun!  Adults get to go Trick or Treating at Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party!  You get a ton of candy and meet the Disney villains!  The pre-party starts in Toontown and go on time to avoid the long Trick or Treating lines.

For Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party you have to pay more for that ticket.  If you don't have Mickey's party ticket you can't stay in Disneyland that night (just go to California Adventures).  I think around 7:00 is the time you can't stay without a ticket.  You have to have a ticket to stay in the park.  Besides, the fun Trick or Treating and the villains are out... there is a special Halloween fireworks show.  Plus the Disneyland castle looks awesome for the party!

One of the best characters to see at Disneyland is the Evil Queen!  If you see her ~ go meet her!  She's hilarious!

When you are in Fantasyland look up at the tower above Snow White's Scary Adventure ride.  You will see the Evil Queen (robot) peek out every half minute or so.

The ride Tower of Terror seems like a super scary ride that just drops you, but it's not.  It's one of the most fun rides ever!  I always thought it just dropped you, so I didn't go on it.  Last year my daughter and I decided to go on it and now it's one of our favorites!  You drop down for a little bit then go back up, then down, then back up, etc.  It's so fun!

If you want to surprise your family or someone with a gift or flowers you can with Disney Floral and Gifts.  You can go to their website and order a gift set and they will deliver to your hotel.  They deliver to the Disneyland owned hotels and some of the close-by hotels.  I've had them deliver to the Disneyland Hotel and Tropicana Inn.  It's so fun surprising my daughter with Disney gifts!

Disney gift cards can be used all over the park.  Even the popcorn and churros carts.  So if you need your older kids to go off by themselves ~ it's a great idea to give them Disney gift cards.  They sell them at stores like Shopko, Smith's, Lowes, etc.

There are big events at Disneyland like the parades, the fireworks, and the World of Color.  The parade in Disneyland is twice every day.  The fireworks are every night.  World of Color is every night in California Adventures.  California Adventures also has a daily parade ~ the Pixar Parade.

World of Color has Fastpasses to the event.  You can go to California Adventures to get your Fastpass then you will have a selected area that you will be in.

You can get dining packages for the big events that come with the Fastpass.  Right now they offer the Paint the Night Parade dining package and World of Color dining package.

If you already have seen the fireworks then during the fireworks take advantage of that time.  Lines are shorter because everyone is watching the fireworks.  One time during the fireworks we were on the Matterhorn Bobsleds ride and it was so awesome!  We could see the fireworks while riding the ride!

Just for fun if you wanted to watch the parade but don't want to sit down on the sidewalk ~ you can have a reservation for Carnation Cafe and request to eat outside.  You can see the parade from there.  You would just have to time it right.  Sometimes you have to wait to be seated even if you have a reservation.

When you are waiting for your table at Carnation Cafe ~ the little device they give you to let you know your table is ready works all over Main Street.  So you can go shopping while you wait.  We just shop at the stores right next to it.

A couple of stores at Disneyland sell really cute Disney charms for about $6 each.  It's a cheap souvenir for little girls.  If your daughter wants to buy charms in Disneyland buy a charm bracelet or necklace before your trip if you need to stick to a budget.  If not, they sell the bracelets and necklaces there.

The purple Tea Cup on Mad Tea Party ride is the fastest teacup!

If you have a stroller at Disneyland put a bright-colored ribbon or something on it that will stand out to you.  There are so many strollers in the stroller parking areas that you don't want to be confused and not find yours right away.  The ribbon will help.

On Main Street there is one of the main stores and above it says Penny Arcade.  They have old fashion games that no one plays.  My daughter loves playing them!  They are pretty fun!  Just have some coins with you to play the games.  Pinocchio has a puppet game in the back by the candy that's fun.

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is so fun for kids to get makeovers.  They do little girls princess makeovers up to age 12 and they also do prince makeovers for boys.  I think it's age 3 to 12.  They have different packages for girls and one for the boys.

Anna and Elsa Boutique does princess makeovers too.  The age limit for them is 15.  They have cheaper packages.  My daughter goes to both boutiques and loves them both!  Anna and Elsa Boutique is in Downtown Disney.

When you are at a store that sells Disney hats and you see a huge sewing machine... they will personalize your hat at that store.  You can get your name on your hat.

Download a Disneyland app with the wait times on it.  It helps so much to plan on which ride to do next.  I have an app that has the wait times, map, park hours, and restaurants with menus.  It's great having the restaurants with menus so we can figure where we want to eat for our next meal.

If you have the Disney Chase credit card there is a private meet n' greet in California Adventures.  It's located in the Hollywood Studios area.  You will see the Disney Chase sign.  There is always just one character you get to see, but it's never too long of a line.  So it's nice.  You have to have the credit card with you ~ just remember to bring it if you want to go to the meet n' greet.  You will want to bring it to Disneyland so you can get discounts.  Plus before your trip redeem your Disney Rewards.

When you need to take a break go to the Tiki Room, Disneyland's Cinema, one of the two theaters in Fantasyland, Golden Horseshoe in Frontierland, go inside the castle, Mark Twain's riverboat, and Disneyland's Opera House ~ Moments with Mr. Lincoln.

You can walk inside the Disneyland castle to see Sleeping Beauty movie scene windows!  To explain... you walk up the stairs and you look at these fun little windows with scenes from Sleeping Beauty.  It's kind of fun ~ go check it out!

Both Disneyland's Cinema and Disneyland's Opera House ~ Moments with Mr. Lincoln are on Main Street. The Cinema plays old Disney black and white cartoons.  The Opera House has info and a movie on Disneyland when it was first opened.

Golden Horseshoe in Frontierland is amazing!  You can go in there, buy a sundae if you want, and watch a play!  It's so fun!

Mark Twain's River Boat is in Frontierland and it's so fun to go look around!  Right now during the construction of Star Wars Land you get to only look around on the boat.  Usually you get to go for a little ride.

The Tiki Room is a fun place that plays a little musical show with robot birds.  Plus if you want the pineapple dole whip treat ~ get it once you have entered the side to wait for the Tiki Room.  The line is shorter.  You can purchase it on the other side where the Tiki Room waiting area is, but only if you are there to watch the little show.

If you want to relax and have fun at the spa ~ Grand Californian Hotel has a luxury spa!  It's nice which means pricey, but luxury spas are worth it!

The Disneyland owned Hotels are Disneyland Hotel, Grand Californian Hotel, and Paradise Pier are always nice and worth every penny!

Grand Californian is the closest hotel to the park.  You can enter right into California Adventures from one side to the hotel.  On the other side you will enter out into Downtown Disney and you will walk just a little bit to the entrance to get into Disneyland.  It is the most expensive hotel out of the three.

Disneyland Hotel is my favorite!  My daughter and I usually stay there and we love it!  It's nice and the rooms have Mickey-shaped items all over.  You take the Monorail to enter right into Disneyland.  If you want to go to California Adventures you walk there.  The walk is about six minutes.  If you can see in the picture above the headboard ~ it plays music and lights up!

Paradise Pier is on the other side of the Disneyland Hotel.  So it will take a little more than six minutes to walk to the park, but still not too far from the Monorail to ride to Disneyland.

The Monorail has two entrances.  One in Downtown Disney and one in Tomorrowland.  The entrance in Downtown Disney is kind of by the Lego Store.  The entrance in Tomorrowland is on the right of the Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage ride.

Hotels across the street from Disneyland will only take you about five to seven minutes to walk to the entrance of Disneyland.  Part of that five to seven minutes includes standing at the crosswalk/stoplight.

If you have a later flight the day you're leaving but want to spend half the day in Disneyland ~ you can check out of your hotel and they will hold your luggage for you while you are at Disneyland.  The close-by Disneyland hotels have a room they put your luggage in and the Disneyland owned hotels have you keep your luggage with the bellhop.

So, if you have a later flight and want to spend half the day at Disneyland ~ it doesn't cost that much more for another day added to your pass once you've purchased a three-day pass.  Disneyland passes get cheaper after a three-day pass.  If you have a four-day pass, have a later flight your last day, then you might want to see if you can do a five-day pass.  It won't cost that much more.  You do have to add in the cost of food, but you won't have to figure out what to do until your later flight.

Bring a small purse, fanny pack, or mini backpack.  Keep in mind you have to carry it around all day.  Only bring what you need.  I bring a small purse.  A cross-body purse.  It fits everything I need and it works with all the rides.  If I brought a big backpack ~ that wouldn't work that well with the rides.

It's easier if you have your kids bring their mini backpack or for girls a little cross-body purse.  My daughter always brings her purse and it's so nice.  She can carry around her autograph book, pen, chapstick, iPod, and sunglasses.

I don't recommend bringing a purse that you have to wear on one shoulder or that you have to carry like a clutch.  I recommend a cross-body purse.  It just hangs and it's out of your way.  Bring a small one that's easy to have on the rides and that you won't put too much stuff in it.  The lighter the better.

Pin trading is awesome at Disneyland!  You can buy super fun pins and if you want you can trade them.  My daughter just loves to buy them!  We don't trade, but I see a lot of people at Disneyland trading.  If you see a cast member with a pad with pins on it ~ they will trade you.  Or if you see on a store counter a display of pins ~ they trade pins too.

Getting a picture in front of the Disneyland castle is a must!  If you want fewer people in your picture ~ to go to the side of the castle.  It's still a great view of the castle.  Just fewer people in your picture.

For fun you can buy Disney chapsticks before your trip.  All of ours are Lip Smackers  so I'm not sure if that's the only brand that sells Disney chapstick or not.

Bring things to do while you wait in line.  Earphones to listen to music on your phone, iPods to play apps, snacks to eat, and think of some fun games like 20 questions or I Spy.

Royal Hall in Fantasyland is where you can see the Disney princesses.  You can meet three of the princesses.  There is a sign in front that lists the princesses at that time.  You have to wait in a long line, but seeing the Disney princesses is the best, because of how sweet they are!

In Fantasyland by the Royal hall they have a cute theater playing fun Disney plays!  Go at least thirty minutes before the show starts to get a seat.  I went twenty minutes before a play and there was a line waiting for available seats, so we stood right by the theater to watch it.  There is another theater by Toontown.  Both theaters have a sign with times on it for the plays or you can ask a cast member.

The Disneyland umbrellas are so fun to buy as a souvenir!  We have them and love them!  If you are planning on buying one, make sure you plan on buying one with time in your schedule to come back one hour or so later.  It needs at least one hour to dry.  They custom make your umbrella with your name and designs on it.  You don't have to come back in exactly one hour.  Just anytime after.

When you are on your way to It's A Small World ride on a hot, sunny day ~ go to the line on your left.  It will have spots with shade.  The line on the right won't have shade.

On hot days in Disneyland you can go on rides that have shaded lines or that have the lines inside like Star Tours and Indiana Jones.

Same with rainy days at Disneyland ~ go on rides that you wait inside like Star Tours.  Plus rides like Ariel's Under the Sea Adventure ~ the line is inside and the ride is long in a building.  Just keep that in mind when you're thinking of what rides to ride next to on rainy days.

Before your trip to Disneyland buy a poncho just in case if it rains.  They sell ponchos there, but it's easier to be prepared and buy a cheaper one.  If you want to buy one there ~ they are cute Disneyland ponchos!

Before your trip to Disneyland you can purchase Disney clothing.  I love buying my Disney clothing from the Disney store's website and Kohl's website.  If I go to the store Kohl's I can never find any good Disney shirts, but online there are a ton.  Last time I bought a bunch of shirts for only ten dollars each.

If you haven't been to Disneyland and were wondering the prices of Disneyland shirts they are around $20 to $32.  My daughter bought a really cute hoodie at Disneyland and it was $38 (I think).  Just to give you an idea of prices.

If you want ~ bring two pairs of shoes on your trip.  After all the walking you will do at Disneyland your feet will get sore.  I like bringing two pairs of shoes to change it up.

I like to buy Disney PJ pants for me and cute Disney PJ gowns for my daughter from the Disney store website.  They have a lot of cute ones!

Booking your trip with a Disney travel agent makes things much easier.  They don't charge a booking fee, they mail you everything you need for your trip, and include extras.  The extras are free pins and lanyards for each guest in your party that you redeem at Disneyland, free photo from a ride, and coupons for certain places at Disneyland and Downtown Disney.

Autograph books are so fun for kids at Disneyland to have the Disney characters sign their books.  You can buy it near Disneyland or at Disneyland.  They cost around $12 to $15.  If you want to make your own you can.  Pinterest has a lot of ideas.  My daughter made one, but after I bought the items to make it ~ I spent more than the books at Disneyland.  It's only a good idea if you have to make a lot of books.  If you want to not spend a lot and don't have time to make the book ~ you can just go to the dollar store and buy a Disney notebook.  That works too.

The Mad Hatter and Alice do a fun little show by the Refreshment Corner on Main Street daily.  Just ask a cast member for the time that they will do the show that day.

You can see a really funny show by Chip n' Dale on Main Street every day.  Last time I saw the show it was around 3:00 ~ ask a cast member for the time they choose that day.

In Critter Country you can meet Winnie the Pooh and his friends.  They have a set up for Winnie the Pooh and two of his friends.  Every time we go it's Tigger first, then Eeyore.  One time I went and there were only those two and not Winnie the Pooh.  So it depends on who is there when you go.

Some people like to buy the kids Disney things at the store before their trip so when they are at Disneyland they don't have to spend that much on souvenirs.  You can do two things for fun if you need to do it this way:  have your kids pick out the Disney items at the store so they feel like they picked out their souvenirs or surprise them with a gift set of Disney items.  Plus they can take the new Disney things on the trip.

If you're on a tight budget ~ the Disneyland souvenirs aren't too much money.  You can get a stuffed toy for about $12, a mini stuffed Tsum Tsum for $6, a keychain or magnet for about $5/$6, or the Minnie ears headbands are about $16/$20.

If you need to stick to a budget and your kid can only get one souvenir, but they want to buy more ~ have them start the pressed coin collection.  Those are great/cheap souvenirs.

Fastpasses are the best!  Fastpasses are a printed ticket you get at Disneyland with a return time for a ride.  So you don't have to wait as long in line.  Only certain rides have the Fastpass.  The machines are by the rides.  The Fastpass for an event is a ticket for a certain area that is reserved for you to be in.

You can only have one ride Fastpass at a time.  You can have one ride Fastpass and an event Fastpass at the same time.  The event Fastpass does not do anything to your ride Fastpass.

Two rides that are hard to get a Fastpass for are Radiator Springs Racers and Space Mountain.  Space Mountain isn't as hard, but in the afternoon sometime they will completely run out of Fastpasses for the ride for the entire day.  Radiator Springs Racers run out early.  The Fastpasses for that ride are right before the entrance to A Bug's Land and kind of by Mater's Junkyard Jamboree.

If you want to ~ try to always have a Fastpass.  To save time during your day at Disneyland.

Before your Disneyland trip watch some of the classic and your favorite Disney movies.  Some goods ones to watch if you want your kids to be excited about Disney princesses and characters they might see at Disneyland... Sleeping Beauty, Beauty and The Beast, Cinderella, The Princess, and The Frog, The Little Mermaid, Tangled, Frozen, Winnie the Pooh, Aladdin, Cars, and Mickey and Minnie movies with Donald, Daisy, Pluto, Goofy, and Chip n' Dale.

In Toontown they have the fun ride Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin.  I have the movie, but for some reason my daughter never watched it.  We always ride that ride at Disneyland.  So before our last trip, I made sure she watched the movie.  Now the ride is more fun to her because she knows the movie.

Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin Fastpass is the easiest one at Disneyland.  Get the Fastpass, usually, you wait for about one hour, spend it in Toontown, and then there is not a line for Fastpass.  Maybe one or two people in front of you and that's it.

Toontown is such a magical place!  Make sure you get a chance to go there even if you go to Disneyland just for a day or two.  It's where Mickey, Goofy, Donald, Chip & Dale, and Minnie live and the whole place is like a cartoon in a magical, fun way!

If you want to go to Toontown to see Mickey and Minnie at their houses go a little before Toontown closes.  Not too close to closing ~ you will miss them.  If you go somewhat close to closing the lines to see them is so short.  Usually, during the day it's thirty minutes to one hour.

If you want to spend a little less on lunch or dinner ~ Toontown has cheaper meal options.  My daughter and I always go to Pluto's Dog House for hot dogs.  They have a couple of other places there.

The water fountain in Toontown has circles on the ground with a picture of a french horn on it.  You can step on them to make sounds from the fountain.

If you have the annual pass you get a discount on all your food, but not the ice cream places and food carts like popcorn and churros.

Annual passes at Disneyland are amazing when it comes to the discount.  You will get a discount on merchandise and food.  The annual pass is only a good idea if you are going more than two times a year.

In California Adventures they have the Games of the Boardwalk that are fun to play!  My daughter wins a lot of prizes every time!  You have to put money on a game card first.  They have machines in front of one of the games.  If you want your kid to only play one game and they want a prize ~ to play the fishing game.  They will at least get a small prize.

If you buy a balloon and you flew to Disneyland ~ you can give your balloon to the main desk at your hotel to give to a child.  My daughter loves buying the balloons at Disneyland, but we don't drive there, we fly to Disneyland.  So on the day, we check out we have someone at the desk give the balloon to a kid.  It looks brand new and I think it will make their day!

Just if you were ever wondering the balloons are $9.  I don't remember exactly, but it's around there.  They are amazing quality.  I know if the balloon did pop ~ you take what's left of it back to them and they will replace it.

The Haunted Mansion has The Nightmare Before Christmas in it as the ride in the middle of September until the first week of January.  After that first week in January it will be closed while they changed it back to the normal ride.

All year long right across from the Haunted Mansion they have a sells cart selling The Nightmare Before Christmas items.  I love that!  We were there in May and my daughter was able to purchase the stuffed toy, Zero!

Middle of November until the first week in January It's A Small World is all decorated in Christmas dolls and things inside the ride with Christmas music.  That ride is also closed after the first week in January to be changed back to the normal ride.

I hope these tips help out with your awesome vacation to Disneyland!

~ Britt
