1 ~ Before a trip to Disneyland I love to go to the Disney Store website and buy some new Disney shirts and PJ's. They have a bunch to choose from! I also love buying Disney shirts from the Kohl's website. They have a lot on their site and great prices!
If you need to stick to a budget at Disneyland ~ buy the Disney shirts before the trip. At Disneyland the shirts are about $15 to $35. Just to give you an idea for their prices.
2 ~ All of the hotels have a swimming pool and it's fun for kids to have a Disney swimming suit! I bought my daughter this Rapunzel one from the Disney Store website. I also bought her a Rapunzel towel with her name on it from the site.
3 ~ My daughter and I love painting our nails for out Disneyland trips! We like painting them like Minnie would! There are a lot of cute Disney ideas online like on Pinterest if you want to do something fun!
4 ~ Bring coins if you want to start the pressed collection at Disneyland. The pressed pennies are 2 quarters and a penny. The pressed nickels are 3 quarters and a nickel. The pressed dimes are 3 quarters and a dime. The pressed quarters are 4 quarters.
Disneyland sells cute pressed coin books to store your collections.

5 ~ Buy Disney souvenirs before the trip if you need to stick to a budget. I always buy my daughter a gift set of Disney stuff before our trips for fun, but it's a good idea to do the same as their souvenirs to save money.
6 ~ Just in case if it rains... buy a poncho before your trip. They sell them at Disneyland, but if you want to feel prepared and not worry about having to buy it at Disneyland ~ buy them before. Plus they are cheaper outside of Disneyland.
If you don't want to ~ the Disneyland ponchos are really cute because they have Disneyland on it.
7 ~ Plan out your vacation and decide if you want to go to a character dining. There are five character dinings are Disneyland. The one with Goofy is Goofy's Kitchen at the Disneyland Hotel. The one with Minnie is the Plaza Inn with Minnie and Friends which is located in Disneyland on Main Street.
The Grand Californian Hotel has one ~ Storytellers Cafe, Paradise Pier Hotel has Disney's PCH Grill, and my favorite is the princess dining at Ariel's Grotto located in California Adventures. Character dinings are a great way to see the characters at Disneyland without having to wait in line.
You will need a reservation for the character dining. Go to Disneyland's website, click on Dining Reservations and create a reservation.
8 ~ Same thing for popular restaurants ~ make a reservation. If you are planning on eating at a popular restaurant I recommend the reservation because they get booked up quickly. If you don't have a reservation you might have to wait a long time for a table.
The popular restaurants are Plaza Inn, Carnation Cafe, Cafe Orleans, Blue Bayou, Storytellers Cafe, Disney's PCH Grill, Goofy's Kitchen, Ariel's Grotto, Stakehouse 55, Carthay Circle, Catal Restaurant, and Wine Country Trattoria.
9 ~ If you want you can surprise your family with gifts that will be delivered to your hotel by Disney Floral and Gifts. You can order a gift from their website before your trip to have a surprise waiting for your family!
10 ~ You can order Disneyland tickets online from the Disneyland website or from your Disney travel agent. The lines at the ticket office at Disneyland are pretty long. So avoid the lines by ordering the tickets before your trip.
11 ~ If you need to save money or just feel like making the books ~ you can make an autograph book before the trip. Pinterest has a lot of great ideas!
The books are about $12 to $16. My daughter usually buys one for each trip, but our last trip she wanted to make her own like in the picture above. The picture below is of the autograph books you can buy at Disneyland.
12 ~ Make reservations for your princess and prince make overs before your trip. You can go to Disneyland's website to see packages and prices. The two boutiques are Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique that's located in Fantasyland and Anna and Elsa's Boutique in Downtown Disney.
13 ~ Decide on which hotel you want. A Disneyland owned hotel or a close by hotel. The closest hotel is Grand Californian Hotel. The Disneyland Hotel is about six minutes away from the Disneyland entrance. A hotel across the street like Tropicana Inn is about five minutes away from the entrance.
I have blog posts on the hotels if you need more info. Just click on Disneyland Hotels here on my blog.
14 ~ Book your transportation from the airport to your hotel if you are flying to Disneyland. I recommend the Disneyland Resort Express, Mickey's Space Ship Shuttle, and Super Shuttle.
15 ~ Pack snacks if you need to save money at Disneyland and want to have snacks at your hotel.
I hope these things help you with planning your Disneyland vacation!
~ Britt
