Disneyland's Mickey's Halloween Party is super fun and everyone in the family will love it! Everyone gets to go Trick or Treating ~ even the adults! I think that is so fun of them to let us adults get the chance to go Trick or Treating once again!
The park closes early for the Mickey's Halloween party. It will close at 7:00 and you need the party admission ticket that's around $69 each and the wristband. You will go to Frontierland to get your wristband and your Trick or Treating bag. When I went they were out, so I had to get ours from one of the workers handing out candy. If they don't have anymore bags when you get your wristband ~ just start Trick or Treating and get it from the first one you go to.
We were a little late to get started because we wanted to eat dinner first. I thought it would be smart to eat then enjoy the rest of the night for the party.
You could always go to a store and just ask for a Disneyland shopping bag. When I was at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique earlier that day with my daughter the hairstylist suggested the shopping bags and gave me one. She said they hold more than the bags they give you for Trick or Treating. If they can't give you a shopping bag without a purchase then maybe buy something little. Only if you wanted a bigger bag.
My daughter, Rachel used her Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique backpack she got in her package. The hairstylist suggested using it, because it would be easier to hold. So there are a couple of other bags to use besides the little ones they give you. I just used the little one and it worked out fine for me. You can also just bring you own bag. We almost brought the one that came in our surprise gift from Disney Floral and Gifts that we had delivered to our hotel.
In Toontown the pre party starts around 4:00. You get to start the Trick or Treating there. We got there around 5:30 and the lines were long. Maybe try to be on time. There is a line to the right as you walk in, one at Minnie's house that connects to Mickey's house, and one at Donald's boat.
Then you go out of Toontown and at 7:00 in Disneyland it starts everywhere in the park. The lines are much shorter than they were in Toontown.
You can get a picture like the one above with the Mickey's Halloween Party picture in the background. They have a photographer there to take your picture in Toontown and they offer to take one with your phone or camera. We were lucky that there wasn't a line when we got there.

I love how decorated the park is with the Halloween decorations and pumpkins! Super fun!
They have really fun pumpkins all over the park! It was so exciting to walk into to Disneyland and see the Mickey Mouse with an orange eye mask for Halloween on! I thought that was pretty clever of Disneyland! We went right up to get a picture of it!
For Mickey's Halloween Party they have this big Mickey ghost that everyone loved getting a picture in front of!
For the big Mickey pumpkin you can wait in line for the Disneyland photographer to take your picture. We didn't want to wait, so I just took a quick picture of Rachel on the side. For the big Mickey ghost no photographers were there, but we had a family taking pictures before us and they asked me to take their picture. Then they offered to take a picture of us ~ so that worked out great for us.
The Disney villains are out for Halloween! During the day they had some fun performances!
For Mickey's Halloween Party the Disney Villains are out for pictures and autographs! I was so excited for that and we were in line to see Jack & Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas, but Rachel was so tired. She was done for the night and we got out of line to go back to the hotel.
Jack and Sally are by the Haunted Mansion. When you are looking at the front of the ride ~ they are to the left, tucked behind things. I had to ask information to find them. If you needed to know where a character was ~ just ask information and they can look it up and see what time they will be there till.
Mickey's Halloween Party Trick or Treating is fun with us just going station to station getting the candy! They have it in a box like this with someone handing you three to four pieces of candy. Sometimes they had snacks like freeze-dried apples slices, crackers, or carrots. You would just request a snack if you wanted that. We got a few snacks because we had too much candy.
It was really nice how they gave you three to four pieces of candy! Rachel and I loved that! Because you wait in line and then you get a ton of candy to make it worth the wait! Plus I love their fun Halloween outfits that they wore for this! Disneyland is just so awesome!
Mickey and Minnie were out first and then Donald and Daisy came out for pictures and autographs. It was so cute because they would kind of dance together and play! (This was in Toontown in the food court area)
Before Rachel got tired we were able to see Goofy and Jessie! It was fun to see the characters like Goofy in their Halloween costumes! Goofy was in Toontown for the pre party and Jessie was behind Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. I heard from a cast member that Jessie, Woody, and Bullseye would be there. We just saw Jessie. They come out around 7:00.
Just a picture of Rachel playing in Mickey's house while we were Trick or Treating.
The picture above ~ It's a Small World ride with a little pumpkin show on the side of it. Which was awesome to see!
The picture below that one is of the Disney's Princess Castle all lit up for Mickey's Halloween Party! It was so cool to see this in person! Rachel and I loved it!
This is the little bag you get for Trick or Treating. It worked out great for me!
Our candy combined! We are stocked up for a while! So awesome :)
