~ 1 Picture on the side of the castle: If you want to get a picture in front of Disneyland's princess castle ~ go to the side. There is going to be way less people in your picture and you still get a good angle of the castle.
~ 2 Shorter lines during fireworks: At night when they are having the fireworks show go on the rides. They will be shorter. My favorite thing is to go on the Matterhorn because you will be high up and as you go down the ride you will see the fireworks! It looks amazing!
~ 3 What line to go wait in at It's A Small World when it's hot: When it's a hot, sunny day at Disneyland and you are going to go in line for It's a Small World go in the line on the left. It will be shaded at parts of the line. The right line won't be at all. When we were going in line my daughter wanted to go in the right line because it was a little shorter, but then I noticed where the shade was and we went in the left line. We were glad we did!
~ 4 Needing a break: When you need a little break go to the Tiki Room to see their little bird show. It's a cute little show inside. We like it because we get to sit for a little bit indoors. Plus if you want to get the pineapple dole whip treat it's better to purchase it once you've gone in to wait for the next Tiki show. The line gets pretty long for those treats and you can purchase them on the other side when you wait for the show. That's what my daughter, Rachel and I do. We buy the pineapple dole whip treat then.
~ 5 Hidden Mickeys: Just for fun look for hidden Mickeys. They are everywhere in Disneyland. Even at the Disneyland owned hotels. We had one in our elevator at the Disneyland Hotel. We had no idea until some guy pointed it out to us. It's fun to find the hidden Mickeys!
~ 6 Tarzan Treehouse: If you are at Disneyland with your kids I recommend letting them play at the Tarzan Treehouse area in Adventureland. It's a great way for them to get some of their energy out after having to wait in lines. Rachel loves playing there!
~ 7 Sleeping Beauty's Castle: Take a little break and go walk around Sleeping Beauty's Castle. You can walk in the castle and they have little windows with scenes from the movie. It's pretty cool!
~ 8 Stay cool with a little fan on the Nemo ride: If you want you can take a little hand held fan on the Nemo ride. It sometimes gets stuffy down in the submarine. The little fan helps.
One time we went on the Indiana Jones ride and Rachel got to sit in the driver's seat in the jeep! We were so excited about that! This picture isn't for any tips ~ I just wanted to put it in the post. :)
~ 9 White Rabbit's door for a picture: It's always fun to get a cute little picture of the White Rabbit's door in Fantasyland!
~ 10 Dumbo ride pictures: After you go on the Dumbo ride go to the side of the ride where there is a Dumbo thing by itself for pictures. It's just a great little spot for kid pictures!
~ 11 Before you head to the Monorail on hot days check to see if it's running... If it's hot the Monorail stops working during the day, so if you want to ride it double check to make sure it's open first before walking all the way to the Monorail. You can ask any ride operator, any store clerk, or anyone at the information booths. They can find out before you walk over there to see it closed. We walked all the way to find out it was closed and wished we would have asked first.
